Articulation Agreements

In an effort to ensure the transferability of credit courses across institutions, KSU observes articulation agreements so the transfer student has a defined guarantee for specific courses, clusters of courses, and related academic requirements from one institution to another.

  • KSU accepts International transfer credits based upon a course-by-course credentials evaluation from a recognized member of National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES); American Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers (AACRAO); or Lisano International.

The credentials evaluation must demonstrate the coursework is equivalent to undergraduate coursework taken in the United States at a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.

International transfer credit is generally awarded as elective credit and further review by academic departments is often required to recommend either specific equivalencies or substitutions toward the degree program. Please note that courses taken at an international institution holding a U.S. regional accreditation will not require a credentials evaluation; e.g., American University of Bulgaria.
